Yesterday I was sitting at a stoplight, minding my own business, waiting for the light to turn green.

A carload of five bearded, young, loud Muslims, shouting anti-American slogans, with a half- burned American flag duct taped to the trunk of their car and a "Remember 9-11" slogan spray painted on the side, stopped next to me.

The light changed, the Muslims praised Allah, shook their fists, hit the gas & darted off ahead of me.

Suddenly an 18-wheeler came roaring through the intersection and t-boned their car, demolishing it completely and killing all five of the Muslims in the car.

For several moments I sat there in shock, thinking to myself, "Holy Crap, that could have been me...!"

So today, bright and early, I went out and got a job as a truck driver.

Just wanted to let you know that 95% of the details have been worked out and we are just about set. I wanted to give you a heads up on a few things in case you have questions, but I'll try to answer as many of them as I can right now. Anyway here we go……………….

**Bingo Starts Promptly @ 3:00p (over $3,500.00 in baskets and special prizes). Each basket will have a certain theme to it and is filled with special prizes. There will also be certain baskets that will be raffled off in addition to the bingo like the CVD basket valued already at over $500.00. There will be (2) ten minute breaks throughout the bingo.

Ticket Cost: $30.00 - This will include at least 20 games of bingo, dinner with drink & dessert and your number to participate in the silent auction for CVD and any raffles that are available. We will have all kinds of neat collectible items for the CVD Auction like……Door Panels, Roof Panels, Rear Fender Panels, CVD 2006 Grandview Speedway Championship Jacket, Large Custom Framed Pictures of CVD and many many more miscellaneous items,

CVD Silent Auction: The silent auction will start at 1p and will end at 6p. This will run during the bingo portion of the event but will be separate and last long enough for those who are playing bingo to participate in this as well. Your ticket stub will be your auction number and all items will be done by silent bid. All items will have a minimum starting bid. Additional prizes will accompany certain featured items as an extra bonus. Should be fun!!!

**If you should be interested in coming to participate in the CVD Auction but not the bingo portion, tickets will be $10.00 and dinner is included. Same will be true for all children who will not be playing bingo but will be there and having dinner. It is important to let me know that you will be coming so that I have a count for meals.

NOTE: WE WILL ONLY BE SELLING 250 TICKETS FOR BINGO!!! This will be first come first serve so please let me know if you are interested ASAP and I will write your name down to hold your tickets. We will have the tickets available at the Motorsports show for you to pick up if interested. We will be set up at the Pioneer Pole Buildings display area. We will also feature a few of the baskets that we will be playing for the day of the benefit and one or two the will be raffled. PLEASE COME CHECK US OUT. I THINK YOU'LL BE SURPRISED!!!

**A BRAND NEW CVD "33 YEARS IN RACING" SHIRT WILL ALSO BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE THROUGHOUT THE DURATION OF THE SHOW. Those who purchase tickets for the benefit will also receive the new shirt at a reduced cost of only $12. Otherwise the price will be $20 like normal. The reduced price will be ONLY for those who participate in the March benefit.

We are also looking for anyone who may be interested in helping up out by sponsoring a basket of your choice. Please let me know if your interested and I can fill you in on any details. TULSA, Okla. (January 10, 2012) – After a full day of parking over 260 teams from throughout the nation and beyond, the QuikTrip Center is Chili Bowl ready. And, all appearances are that the City of Tulsa is Chili Bowl ready as well.
With all the teams in place inside the QuikTrip Center, all that remains between Tuesday’s kickoff of the 26th Annual Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals is Monday’s practice session atop the ¼-mile Tulsa Expo Raceway clay oval from 9:00 a.m. until approximately 6:00 p.m.
With another couple of entries filed on Sunday, the current count for the prestigious event is at 264 from 32 different states as well as Australia, Canada, Finland and New Zealand.

An old man walks into the barbershop for a shave and a haircut, but he tells the barber he can't get all his whiskers off because his cheeks are wrinkled from age. The barber gets a little wooden ball from a cup on the shelf and tells him to put it inside his cheek to spread out the skin. SPORTSMAN ADDED TO GRANDVIEW'S WEEKLY SCHEDULE!

GRANDVIEW ADDING SPORTSMAN STOCKS TO SATURDAY NIGHT SHOW
With all the rumors regarding what will be racing at Grandview Speedway we felt it was time to give racers and fans an idea of what the plan is for Saturday night racing in 2012.
Sportsman stock cars will be added to the weekly show at Grandview with rules patterned after Big Diamond Raceway sportsman rules. In addition there will be weekly racing for Late Models and of course the NASCAR 358 Modifieds.
Everyone racing on Saturday nights and entering the pits will be required to have a NASCAR license.
Additional details are being finalized, including purse, point fund, specific rules, and more will be released after the holidays.
We appreciate the interest shown in racing at Grandview Speedway.
