NEW CVD CLOCKS! SEE BRIAN AT THE TRACK FOR YOURS!

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!

T.O.T.H. PPB ROC & ROLL THE DICE CHALLENGE!

The PPB ROC Modified and Sprint car double-header just keeps getting bigger and with the addition of the BFP Specialty ROC and ROLL the DICE Challenge, the competitors have some "say" in how much they can earn to win the 60 ROC Modified event at the Lincoln Speedway on Tuesday night, July 12.
The BFP Specialty ROC & ROLL the Dice Challenge will work this way. Drivers will pay a $100 fee to participate. 100% of all money collected by BFP Specialty will be paid back to the winning driver. For example, the 60 lap modified feature is already paying $5,000 to the winner. If ten drivers participate in the BFP Specialty ROC & ROLL the Dice Challenge, and additional $1,000 will go to the winner. If twenty drivers participate, the main event will pay $7,000. In addition, every driver that enters the Challenge will receive a $25 certificate for BFP Specialty that may be used towards any purchase of $200 or more.
So it's a Roll of the Dice, but it could bring the race winner a hefty payoff.
The BFP Specialty bonus will be paid out in victory to the winner of the 60 lap modified feature event. Drivers may send their BFP ROC & ROLL the Dice entry fee to:
BFP Specialty's LLC
9090 Old Route 22
Bethel, PA 19507
For more information, call BFP at 717-933-4999 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting            717-933-4999      end_of_the_skype_highlighting or Ben Moyer at 717-679-4816 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting            717-679-4816      end_of_the_skype_highlighting. Entries will be accepted up to the Drivers Meeting the day of the race. BFP Specialty located in Bethel, PA will also be the parts supplier for the modifieds at the Lincoln Speedway ROC event.

In addition to the BFP ROC & ROLL the Dice Challenge, laps are also being sole for the modified feature. Lap sponsorship is available for a minimum of $10 per lap by contacting Ben Moyer at 717-679-4816 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting            717-679-4816      end_of_the_skype_highlighting.
And still another bonus is up for grabs for the modifieds on Tuesday night, July 12. In memory of Chad Miller, Award the winner of each modified heat will earn $50 to be paid on race night. Sponsoring the Award is Donnie, Patti and Chelsea Miller, in the memory of Chad Miller. Those who knew Chad, truly understand the special person he was and his over-riding love for racing, family and friends. We appreciate the heat race winner's bonus money and lets all work to preserve the memory of Chad Miller.

DRIVE FOR HUNGER NIGHT AT BIG DIAMOND SPEEDWAY THIS FRIDAY 5/27 !!

Big Diamond Speedway has designated May 27 as Michael Weinert Drive For Hunger Night presented by SIFE, and encourages race fans and community members to bring nonperishable food donations to the raceway.

Weinert, teamed up with the University of Pittsburgh SIFE (Students In Free Enterprise) team to lead a campaign to tackle hunger issues in Pennsylvania. The SIFE team is spreading word of Weinert’s campaign and organizing food drives throughout the state. Weinert also has arranged food collection stations throughout Schuylkill County, including Ken’s Tire, Pioneer Pole Buildings, Sisters’ Cantina, Kimmels Church and more.

“I’ve been given the opportunity to pursue my dream to become a race car driver and have been fortunate never to worry about having enough to eat,” says Weinert, who was named Big Diamond Speedway 358-Modified Rookie of the Year last season. “But some people are hungry every day, even right here in our community. I want to make a difference for those who are less fortunate.”

VICTORY LANE! (Doug Ayres photo)

Jon Kellner Jr stopped by victory lane after leading the closing laps at Grandview Speedway saturday night. Kellner ran one heckava race and held the lead till the final lap when Duane Howard drove under Jon and went on to win his 3rd feature out of the 4 run at the Bechtelsville oval this season! Pete Knappenberger provided the post race race interview with Duane in victory lane.

JIMMY HORTON JR! (Doug Ayres photo)

Great run last night for Jimmy Horton Jr. to bring home a very respectable 3rd place finish in the feature at Grandview Speedway. "Little Horton" looked real fast all night long as he also captured his heat victory. Horton have a rough start at Grandview flipping his modified on opening night and wrecking the following week. Looks like Jimmy has got things turned around and I am sure he is looking forward to getting that potent #43 back on the track.

"GENTLEMAN" JACK SWAIN! (Bruce Thomas photo)

"Gentleman" Jack Swain captured the season's first Dash for Cash at Grandview Speedway last evening. We met up with Jack in the pits after the races and let me tell you what a great guy he is! Jack operates his team with no major sponsor other that his wife and himself. Jack has even ordered a "CPN" shirt and stickers for his #42s hot rod! He also mentioned that he loves running Grandview after racing at Bridgeport for many years. Glad talking with you Jack and good luck in the future!

THE END IS NEAR...GLAD I WILL BE AT GRANDVIEW WHEN THE WORLD ENDS TONITE!

WASHINGTON - Warnings by a US fundamentalist preacher that Saturday, May 21, is Judgment Day have sent some people around the world into hiding or rushing to repent, while others are planning parties to wave off their lives.

"Rapture" will begin with powerful earthquakes at 6:00 pm local time in each of the world's regions.
After the mega-quakes, the good Christians will be taken into heaven, eighty-nine-year-old Camping believes. Those who do not make it to the gateway to the Heaven on Saturday will suffer through hell on earth until October 21, when angry God will pull the plug on the planet once and for all, destroying everyone and everything.

GRANDVIEW CANCELLED!

MA NATURE DEFINITELY NOT A FAN OF SHORT TRACK AUTO RACING AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY
BECHTELSVILLE, PA May 14, 2011 . . . For the fourth time already this season rain washed out the Saturday night Whelen Engineering sponsored program of NASCAR 358 Modified and Late Model stock car racing at Grandview Speedway.
Rain all throughout the night with more rain in the morning hours, misting conditions continuing and forecasts for thunderstorms were all factors in the early cancellation. Speedway management did not want to put fans and racers in the position of traveling to the track, using their gas, only to have the events cancelled.
“It is getting frustrating to have all the rainouts,” said track owner Bruce Rogers. “However when you think of what the people are going through along the Mississippi you can’t get too upset. We will just get busy and start working on the track, as soon as the rain stops, and be ready for next Saturday night.”
