WILL THERE BE A NEW NASCAR 358 MODIFIED CHAMPION AT GRANDVIEW? TITLES ARE OPEN FOR LATE MODEL AND SPORTSMAN DIVISIONS; PICK YOUR RESERVED SEAT ON MARCH 7TH

BECHTELSVILLE, PA February 27, 2015 . . . In the last 15 years of NASCAR 358 Modified stock car racing at Grandview Speedway there have been three different champions. The title during those years has been shared by three of the very best dirt track stock car racing talents with Jeff Strunk grabbing the champion’s loot 10 times, Craig VonDohren (the all-time leading feature winner) has been champion three times and Duane Howard has topped the final point standings twice.
Fan interest is running high as opening night is just four weeks away. Will there be someone new taking the NASCAR 358 Modified title, worth thousands of dollars, in 2015?
Veteran Doug Manmiller has been a threat to the top three for a number of years. This year he is back with his own team and anxious to show that he has the talent to be the champion. Jared Umbenhauer is moving to the Modifieds and after being a powerhouse competitor, winning three straight Sportsman titles, it will be interesting to see if he carries that success to the primary division of competition. Young Tim Buckwalter has shown signs of brilliance and this could be his year to win features and a title. Nate Christman looked strong last season as did Frank Cozze, Don Norris and several others. The championship looks to be up for grabs in 2015.
In the Late Models and Sportsman there are no defending champions as BRC Late Model champion Randy Stoudt has retired and Sportsman titleholder Jared Umbenhauer plans to challenge the Modified talents. Titles in both divisions are up for grabs by some very talented racers in both divisions.
So there is plenty for fans to think about as the 53rd consecutive season of stock car racing gets underway officially on Saturday, April 4th at 7 p.m. with a three division show that features the 358 Modifieds, Sportsman and BRC Late Models. This will open the battle for the lucrative championships.
A free-to-the-public practice session featuring all divisions of competition is set for Saturday, March 28th at 12 noon.
And on Saturday, March 7th, 1 p.m. those who have purchased 2015 season passes are invited to the track to pick their reserved seat for the season. That is the seat that they will have available each and every Saturday night from the season opener through the annual Freedom 76 in September. Fans who have not purchased their season pass, $350 for the season, can do so on March 7th or be sure to get one by sending a check payable to Grandview Speedway, 87 Wilt Road, Bechtelsville, PA 19505. Please include a self-addressed stamped envelope to speed up the return of the pass.
For Enduro fans, the first of several action packed Sunday afternoon Enduro events is set for Sunday, March 29th at 1 p.m.
Grandview Speedway, a one-third-mile, banked clay track, is located on Passmore Road, just off Route 100, 10 miles north of Pottstown, in Bechtelsville, PA. TRIPLE DIAMONDS SET FOR BIG DIAMOND SPEEDWAY DEBUT JUNE 5TH

Minersville PA (2/27/15)--Big Diamond Speedway's 2015 schedule is permeated with events rich in tradition and racing history, but on June 5th an event unlike any other will take center stage for the headlining 358 modifieds with the first running of the "Triple Diamonds".

Promotor Jake Smulley will present a unique qualifying procedure that will thrill the fans and give racers the opportunity to take home extra money.

The entire field will be split into two semi-features that will be 15-laps in length. Each semi-feature will pay at least $1,000 to win and $100 to start. Line-ups for the semi features will be determined by timed dashes. The quick-timer on the night will receive a $100 bonus and will draw an invert number for the heat races.

The top-5 finishers from each semi-feature will be qualified for the A-main, while the rest of the field will run B-mains. The top-4 drivers from the B-mains will join the ten drivers that transferred out of the semi-features in a 14-car redraw while the rest of the field will be filled in through the B-main "heads-up" from their finishing positions.

The feature race will be 30 laps and will pay $3,000 to win. Any driver that can set fast time during the timed dashes and win a semi-feature will receive an extra $400 bonus, and $1,000 awaits any driver that can sweep the night with quick-time, a semi-feature victory, and a win in the A-main.

"This is the start of something that could become an early-summer tradition at Big Diamond," stated speedway owner Jake Smulley. "The fans get some extra racing and the drivers get to race for extra money, it should be a win-win for everyone in attendance on June 5th."

The "Triple Diamonds" event for the modifieds will share the night's card with the thrilling sportsman and roadrunner divisions.

The 2015 season at Big Diamond Speedway officially kicks off this Monday, March 2nd with the  mall show at the Schuylkill Mall in Frackville. Young fans will have a bevy of activities on Friday March 6th with events including a prizes, cardboard car challenge, kids big wheels races, driver interviews, autographs, awards, and a tire changing competition should bring plenty of smiles to families through the region.

BECHTELSVILLE, PA February 12, 2015 . . . There will be no increase in admission prices for the regular Saturday night NASCAR sanctioned stock car racing events at Grandview Speedway this season. Good news for the many fans that support auto racing at the popular racing facility now headed into its 53rd season of racing.
Adult admission for regular shows, featuring the 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models and Sportsman stock cars, will remain at $15 for adults. Youngsters 11 and under will be admitted free for the regular shows. Pit passes, for those with a NASCAR license, will be available for $30.
A free-to-the-public practice session is scheduled for noon on Saturday, March 28th and will be open to all divisions of competition. There will be no NASCAR license required for the practice.
During the point season, Grandview offers two separate point funds, all racers will be required to use American Racer tires that carry the G-view stamp.
“We had announced this change early last season and gave the racers ample time to use up their supply of BPG stamped tires,” said track owner Bruce Rogers. “We even extended the grace period to encompass the entire 2014 season. Now we will require that all racers use the G-view stamped tire.”
Again in 2015 Grandview Speedway will be part of the American Racer Cup championship that includes many of the most popular area short track racing facilities. Race teams are required to purchase a one-time membership to participate in the American Racer Cup and have the opportunity to share in the $150,000 in cash and awards that are available.
The membership also makes the racer eligible to win tires and certificate drawings at the participating tracks.
Membership details and membership forms are available at www.dirtmodcup.com.
Grandview racers are reminded that a NASCAR license is required for everyone entering the pit area starting with the season opener on Saturday, April 4th at 7 p.m. Applications for NASCAR licenses are available at www.grandviewspeedway.com.
