Late Run Ends In A Top 5 for Dan Green And The LASERX Chassis #46! (SDS Photo)

Bechtelsville, PA – After finishing up some minor details at the race shop the G & H Motorsports team loaded up the Dan Green #46 NASCAR BRC Grandview Speedway Late Model and headed for the track. 

Starting 6^th in the first 8 lap heat race, Dan took the green and completed lap 1 in 7^th spot. The race stayed green for the first 4 laps until John Giesler #ZT1 getting loose and Dave Ogin #31 made contact. Ogin spun with Dan, having no where to go, hit both him and Giesler. The contact did not have Dan stopping and it also helped Giesler keep going as they were able to continue without being involved in the accident. Ogin's car was done for the night. The race went back to green and Dan was able to bring home the damaged #46 in 6^th place.

Scott Green, Cathy Green, Todd Lapp, Liz Kulp, Debbie Dutter, Jim Alexander, Bob Higginbotham, and Brett Higginbotham were able to assess the damage and found that it was mostly body damage and quickly got the  Linda's Hair Techniques' #46 ready for the feature event.

 Lining-up 8^th for the 25 lap T.P Trailers NASCAR BRC Late Model feature, Dan held on for a couple laps then dropped back to 12^th at lap 3. He then started picking off cars and with a near miss getting by Wayne Pfeil #72 and Joe “Geezer” Fanelli #22 at lap 9 Dan was running back in the top 10. At a lap 20 restart Dan was able to get by Steve Gross #62 to take 6^th then Bill Henning #80 one lap later to be in 5^th spot. The green stayed out the last few laps to have Dan cross the line in the 5^th place which kept him 4^th in the season long point standings. Besides Dan having a good run, the #704 Kory Fleming and #1 Chuck Schutz put on a great race for the lead with Fleming taking his second win of 2015.

The NASCAR BRC Late Models along with the T.P. Trailers Modifieds and Sportsmans will be back at the track on Saturday June 6, 2015 starting at 7:30 PM. Dan Green will be wheeling the Farmer's Insurance #46. Strong Run for Dan Green And The Ken's Towing #46! (Poppa Pepper's Photo)

Bechtelsville, PA – After last weeks rain-out the G & H Motorsports team was ready to tackle the high banks at Grandview Speedway this past Saturday. Just Mom's Ice Cream and Grille sent along awesome hot roast beef and cheese steaks for the team to eat before the racing program got started. The weather was perfect for Dan Green to get behind the wheel and compete with the other NASCAR BRC Late Model drivers.

Dan took the green in 7^th spot in the first 8 lap heat race and quickly passed Kory Fleming #704 and Cory Merkel #16 in turn 4. Staying in the low lane, Dan was able to get by #ZT1 John Geisler in turns 1 and 2 and completed lap one in 4^th position. Dan challenged Dave Ogin #31 for 3^rd but that opportunity disappeared and Dan settle in and waited for another chance. The event went green the entire 8 laps and Dan finished in 4^th.   

Scott Green, Cathy Green, Todd Lapp, Liz Kulp, Debbie Dutter, Jim Alexander, Jacky Higginbotham, Bob Higginbotham, and Brett Higginbotham made the changes to the Scott Select #46 that were needed. 

The 18 late models that were signed into the pits lined up for the 25 lap feature event with Dan in the 9^th spot. At the drop of the green, Fleming and Rick Todorow #93 made contact which brought out the yellow, also involved was C. Merkel. The next attempt was much better as Dan was able to get around Ogin and Steve Gross #62 before lap one was completed. A few laps later Dan was able to get by Lou Egrie Jr #4e and Bill Henning #80 to run 3^rd. Sean Merkel #118 and Chuck Schutz #1 were able to pass Dan to put him 5^th. After a caution for Ogin, Dan was able to pass Steve Wilson #15 to run 4^th. Right after completing lap 22 Dan drove into turn one just a little too hard and spun ending up on the inside of the track with some drivers doing some evasive maneuvers but others not so lucky with Wilson and Joe “Geezer” Fanelli #22 making contact. After the spin Dan tried to restart the motor but fuel was built up in the air cleaner igniting and catching it on fire. Dan quickly drove to the infield and turned off the car and got the air cleaner off the motor so it would not continue to burn. Dan was fine and the motor was fine but he was done for the night after a strong run in the Auman Photography #46. Dan was credited with finishing 10^th and was able to hold on to 4^th place in points, Dan also received a $50.00 gift certificate from Cargo Trailer Sales.

The NASCAR BRC Late Models along with the T.P. Trailers Modifieds and Sportsmans will be back at the track on Saturday May 30, 2015 starting at 7:30 PM. Dan Green will be wheeling the Farmer's Insurance #46, hoping to continue his good year as he is 4^th in the season long point chase.  Come out next Saturday and don't forget to stop back at the car after the races to pick up a hero card of Dan and ask how we can possibly save you money on your insurance.
