WET WEATHER FORCES GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY TO CANCEL SATURDAY NIGHT RACING ACTION
BECHTELSVILLE, PA July 30, 2016 . . . Once again wet weather forced
the cancellation of NASCAR stock car racing at Grandview Speedway on Saturday
night. The planned WNPV-1440AM sponsored night will be
rescheduled.
The rainout will tighten up the point battles going on in all three
divisions of racing as there will now be just five nights of point racing
remaining in the season for the T.P.Trailers NASCAR 358 Modifieds, BRC Late
Models and Sportsman stock cars.
BIG DIAMOND SPEEDWAY RESULTS
CJ’s Tire & Automotive Modifieds Feature #2 was won by Ryan Godown followed by Rick Laubach, Duane Howard, Craig VonDohren, John Willman, Brett Kressley, Jeff Strunk, Ryan Watt, Ryan Grim, Kevin Beach Jr, Gary Hager, Jim Bobbitt, Scott Albert, Shawn Fitzpatrick, Andy Burkhart, Dale Hartz, Bobby Gunther Walsh, Gary Wagner, Heath Metzger and Jason Rivers. Did not finish were Mike Lisowski, Jay Aten, Jimmy Reppert, Ray Swinehart, Justin Grim and Ron Haring Jr.
Heat Races were won by John Willman, Rick Laubach and Kevin Beach Jr. The consolation was won by Mike Lisowski.
Savage 61 Roadrunners were won by Steve Gromis, followed by Chris Holland, Shon Elk, Kyle Wingle, Nate Hill, Bruce Ditzler and Andrew Buchinski. Did not finish were Kris Ney, Andrew Fayash III, Jon Schlauch, Shawn Mulhall and Jim Kost. Did not start Chris Eckert
The heat race was won by Chris Holland.

HOT! The Hot Rod Tracker #46 And Crew Were Just That on Saturday Night!
Coatesville, PA – July 23, 2016 –
The weather outside was frightful but it was because the temperature
was hot and humid at Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville PA. Dan Green
and the G & H Motorsports team had plenty of water in the cooler to
stay hydrated and the track offered water to the drivers. The air
conditioned pit office was available for anyone in the pits to step into
if needed to cool off. The Rodgers family and race officials were very
aware of the dangers in the heat and took every precaution to help the
teams. Hats off to them for their concern and awareness!
Heat Race
Dan was scheduled to start 4th in the 2nd 8 lap heat race but pole starter, Chris Wojnor #81 choose to start in the rear putting Dan 3rd.
The green flag flew and Dan followed Joe “Geezer” Fanelli #22 into turn
one as Byron Sipe #33s took the lead. On lap 2 Chuck Schutz #1 got
underneath Dan but pushed up the track in turns 3 and 4 allowing Dan to
get back under and take the spot back. The race went green the entire
way as Dan finished 3rd with a broken right rear shock mount.
Team Fixes Car
Dan
and part of the crew went to work to fix the broken shock mount and
checked for any suspension damage that it may have caused. The rest of
the crew did their part to prepare the SquireSide Café #46 for the 25
lap feature with fuel, tires and many other things that are done each
race night.
Feature Event
Dan was scheduled to start 8th
in the main event but Drew Weisser #19 had engine issues and was
scratched from the race while Wojnor #81 elected to start in the rear of
the field. This put Dan in the 6th starting position. The
first try at going green was called back as Fanelli spun in turn two.
The next caution came out for Dan as he spun in turn three. With Dan in
the back and most of the feature left to run Dan picked his way back
into the top ten as the #46 crossed the finish line in 7th. Dan sits in 6th spot in driver’s points for this season.
Congratulations
Brian Shuey #177 picked up his 4th
win of the year as its either win or go home as his team has been
side-lined after warm-ups the last two weeks with motor issues. Frank
Cozze #4 picked up his third of the year in the T.P. Trailers Modifieds
and Mike Lisowski #15 got his second Sportsman Feature win of 2016.
Next Event
Dan
will race July 30, 2016 for a 4 class night at Grandview Speedway in
Bechtelsville PA featuring the T.P. Trailers Modifieds, BRC Late Models,
Sportsmans and the Blast from The Past Vintage Car Club. Adult
admission is $15 while youngsters 11 and under are free.

your calendar now for Saturday, August 20, 2016. There will be a car
show at Scott Select Pre-Owned Cars in West Chester PA featuring Dan and
the #46 NASCAR BRC Late Model! Plans are being made now to have several
other Grandview Speedway cars including #22 Joe “Geezer” Fanelli
currently 9th in Late Model points, Mike Gular #2 who is 3rd in the T.P. Trailers Modifieds, Nate Mohr #17m Sportsman, Ryan and Kyle Lilick #142 and #104, they are sitting 4th and 16th
in Sportsman points respectively. Todd Lapp #PB and Ron Meyers #18 will
have their Blast From The Past Vintage cars there as well. There will be
plenty to do and enjoy as more information will be available soon.

Dan Green’s Linda’s Hair Techniques #46 Finishes 11th In Firecracker 40!
Coatesville, PA – July 16, 2016 –
The Chapman Auto Firecracker 40 for the Grandview Speedway NASCAR BRC
Late Models was delayed by rain by a week so Dan Green and the G & H
Motorsports team was able to make a minor change that we were going to
do for last week. The team headed to the track a little early for the
Low Down and Dirty Meet and Greet at Grandview before the racing got
started. The team gave away 4 RC NASCAR 1/24 scale cars to very happy
winners and Dan signed a lot of hero cards for the fans that stopped by.
Heat Race
The
racing order for the night was switched around a little so the Late
Models could run their race after intermission. Dan started in 4th in the second 8 Lap Heat Race, the first green was a no go as the #81 Chris Wojnar spun at the start/finish line. This put Dan 3rd
as Wojnar started on the pole. The next green Dan jumped to second
passing Drew Weisser #19. The race went green the rest of the way as Dan
followed Ron Kline #3 under the checker finishing second.
Team gets ready
As
the team had a little more time this week to get ready for the 40 lap
feature, we were able to take our time and get everything done that we
needed to do. Scott and Cathy Green, Jim Alexander, Phil Jelke, Michael
Wynne, Debbie Dutter, Jennifer O’Shea and Brett Higginbotham were in the
pits for the night. The team also welcomed our sponsor Linda and Dave
Deeney from Linda’s Hair Techniques as well as Dan’s cousins Kelly Green
Depew and her children visiting from Idaho and Lew Williams visiting
from Florida. They all really enjoyed cheering on Dan during the racing
action and the special events of the Firecracker 40 night.
Feature Event
For
the special event the track had driver introductions for the 21 drivers
that started the race! Dan buckled in the Hot Rod Processing #46 in 7th
starting spot. The cars had a few pace laps to wave American flags and
hand them to the officials to give to the kids in attendance. The green
was displayed and the #46 Scott Select NASCAR BRC Dirt Late Model just
never really got going as Dan tried different lines and was stuck in
some spots that allowed a couple cars to get by. On the ninth lap Dan
got high going around a lapped car and tagged the wall with the right
rear of the car. On lap 10 Dan slowed and the caution came out as Dan
drove to the pits with what he thought was a flat tire. The vibration
was caused by mud that had gone into the wheel area and once removed he
rejoined the field in 19th spot. The next 30 laps Dan tried to move forward and was able to get by a few cars and finish 11th
with a car that was just not perfect. Not the finish that the team would
have liked but we completed all 40 laps with an ill handling car after
the contact with the wall on lap 9.

Pfeil #72 picked up the Chapman Auto Firecracker 40 for his first win
of the year and first 40 lapper win. Kyle Wiess #21 picked up his first
of the year in the T.P. Trailers Modifieds and Brian Papiez #99x got his
second Sportsman Feature win of 2016.

will race July 23, 2016 in the Hatfield Quality Meats night at
Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville PA. Adult admission is $15 while
