Super Late Model Racing with Dan Green and the G & H Motorsports Team(Rubright Racing Photo)

Here are some updates for Dan and Team 46 for the last few weeks. We have met all sorts of challenges and our next stop is Saturday August 4th at Selinsgrove Speedway!
June 9th Race At Selinsgrove Speedway (PA)
Dan drove the Alfa Romeo of the Main Line #46 in the Northeast Ultimate Super Late Model Series Showdown on Sand Hill to a 13th place finish in the 30 lap Feature event. Dirt Late Models have so many options for setups that the team just hadn’t found the right one yet. While racing against drivers who have been running for many years this finish was a nice step towards finding that good set-up. Thanks to the series for coming to Selinsgrove and we hope to run with them again!

June 16th at Selinsgrove Speedway (PA)
Dan has been getting into a groove and finished 13th in the Little Anthony’s Pizza and Grille #46. Driving against 24 of the best Super Dirt Late Model drivers at the super-fast half mile speedway with a smaller cubic inch motor the G & H Motorsports team works hard each week.

June 23rd at Selinsgrove Speedway (PA)
Persistent rain cancelled the racing program on June 23rd.

June 30th at Selinsgrove Speedway (PA)
The LAZER X #46 Super Dirt Late Model made laps at Selinsgrove Speedway and finished 12th. This was a warm-up to the July 3rd Firecracker 30’s at the track with the team continuing to work on getting the car running correctly.

July 3rd at Selinsgrove Speedway (PA)
Dan and the G & H Motorsports team did not have a good night in the ACE Hardware #46. Being ready for a few hard hot laps, Dan took the green and spun the car into the turn 2 inside guard rail and the impact was at exactly the wrong spot bending the frame. Unfortunately we were done for the night.

July 7th was an Off Night of Racing
Having a week off was good timing and owners Cathy, Scott, and Dan decided to look at all options. Working with Jim Bernheisel at Bernheisel Race Components to build a new chassis was the only way to go.

July 14th at Selinsgrove Speedway (PA)
With the frame bent on the #46, the team traded the 2015 Chassis and the 2017 Chassis in on a new 2018 LAZER X chassis and went to work on getting it ready for the July 14th night of racing. Unfortunately there just wasn’t enough time to be 100% ready, Dan and Scott worked every night trying to be ready. This was the first night of racing that we missed not due to rain since the day the Green family started racing.

July 18th at Bridgeport Speedway (NJ)
Bridgeport Speedway’s annual Three for All weekday race was on Dan’s schedule and it was a good time to shake down the new chassis for the next race at Selinsgrove Speedway. The special race had a good turnout and Dan was able to get a top ten even after making two pit stops to repair minor damage when another car spun in front of him. Dan finished 8th in the 25 lap event run on Bridgeports new 3/8 mile track.

July 21st at Selinsgrove Speedway (PA)
Heavy Rain that lasted all day forced all of the local tracks to cancel their racing programs.

July 28st at Selinsgrove Speedway (PA)
There was no super late model race scheduled at Selinsgrove so team 46 had the night off.

 Next Event!
Dan will be on the track on Saturday August 4th at Selinsgrove Speedway, our weekly point season, weather permitting! Please check our Facebook page or website for more information! Full Schedule is here! (http://www.dangreen46.com/page29.html)

Friends at Other Tracks:
We have several friends at tracks in the area and they have all experienced the same weather conditions with rain outs this season. Some have been involved in accidents requiring lots of garage time...but all have also had good weeks finishing races and having fun while participating in the best sport around – Dirt Track Racing!
Please watch facebook for the happenings of these teams:   Nathan Mohr, Geezer Fanelli, Bryan Bernheisel, Danny Snyder, Patrick O'Brien, and Drew Weisser. We will update as time allows also but this month has been "super" busy at the 46 shop!

BIG DIAMOND HAS CANCELLED TONIGHT'S ANTHRACITE ASSAULT

MINERSVILLE, PA – After a rainout on June 5, Big Diamond Speedway offered up a second date for the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco ‘Anthracite Assault’ combination North-South event.
However, Mother Nature did not agree.
A forecast for intensifying showers throughout the evening hours has prompted Big Diamond and STSS management to make the early call and cancel the event for Monday, July 16. The show will return to Big Diamond in 2019.
“Every forecast I have looked at calls for rain later today and tonight,” Big Diamond owner Jake Smulley said. “There is too much risk of the event not going on as planned.”
On June 5, all race teams and fans were in attendance when storms moved over at 7 p.m.  STSS organizer Brett Deyo didn’t want a repeat.
“We already had racers and fans here from all over the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic the first time and they spent money in fuel and tolls,” he said. “We definitely don’t want to do that again.”
