BEER CITY NIGHT AT GRANDVIEW!

The Beer City Firecracker 40 late model classic, set for Saturday, July 4, will have to go some to be more exciting than the finish of the Memorial Classic run last Saturday night when Randy Stoudt edged out defending champion Chuck Schutz for the win. There have been seven different winners out of 10 late model features run this season and the Fourth of July Firecracker 40 could very well add a new name to the win list. The second part of the doubleheader show will have the NASCAR 358 modifieds in action and the modifieds are in the midst of their most competitive season in a while. Ten different drivers have won the 10 Saturday night modified events run this season. Will the July 4th 30-lap modified feature produce a new winner or will someone win for the second time? It will be make for a very exciting night of stock car racing action. A full series of qualifying events will be presented in each division starting at 7:30 p.m. The late models will top their program with the Firecracker 40, their biggest event of the season, while the 358 modifieds will race in a 30-lap main event with at least 28 starters going for the victory. Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. Adult admission is just $18 for this great holiday show.
In 1980 Jim Sanford bought a beer license from Lower Bucks and brought it to Quakertown looking the perfect place for the beer distributor. He found an empty toy store in the Quaker Village shopping center by the name of Toy City. To save money he replaced the "toy" on the outside sign with beer, hence the name Beer City. Looking to retire he then sold the business in 1996 to the current owners Bert and Sara Jones of Quakertown. It was Bert's ambition to operate and own a successful beer distributor with the help of his family and his employees he has made Beer City one of the most successful Beer Stores in Bucks County!
