Von Dohren Named Northeast's Top 358-Modified Winner; Car To Appear At Motorsports 2009!
The 45-year-old didn't just win frequently during the 2008 season, he won big. Von Dohren swept Grandview (Pa.) Speedway's big-money races: the Forrest Rogers Memorial in August paying $10,000 and the $20,000-to-win BPG Racing Freedom 76 in September.CVD collected a $4,500 paycheck in Big Diamond (Pa.) Raceway's second edition of the Chad Miller Memorial, took home $5,145 for his third career victory in the 358-Modified portion of the Delaware State Dirt Track Championships at Delaware International Speedway and won the Atlantic Coast Championships Open Comp 358-Mod race at Bridgeport (N.J.) Speedway in October, worth $3,500.Von Dohren won a pair of big-block races during the season - the MS Race For A Cure in July and Atlantic Coast Championships in October, both paying $5,000 at Bridgeport - to bring the season total to 14.
