Austin Finishes Out Fall series with a strong 4th place finish!

Austin Langenstein finished out the 2013 fall series at Concord Speedway with a hard fought 4th place finish. Austin and the #7 team would qualify 4th missing the pole by less then 1 tenth of a second. Austin would jump up to the 3rd position on lap 1 when going into the 3rd corner on the 2nd lap Austin would get turned around sending him into a spin. Austin and the driver of the #81 who spun Austin out, would both be sent to the rear of the field. On the restart the #81 car would try to spin Austin out again but this time Austin would save it, But would loose 4 spots in the process. When Austin would get back to the bumper of the #81 Austin would get into the rear of the #81 car like he did to Austin the 2nd time, but that driver couldn't save his car and he would spin, causing another yellow. Austin would be send to the rear of the field again for the contact. Austin would end up passing a total of 13 cars over the last 10 laps where he would get back up to finish 4th, just behind the top 3. After the race Austin said-'' It was a hard fought race. I don't really like to pay people back like that, but you have to stand up for yourself and your team. I race people clean, but also the way they race me, The #81 spun me for no reason on lap 2, then tried again, so I decided to race him the way he raced me. All and all it was a decent night the #7 car had good speed, I just wish we had a few more races here." Austin's next and final race of the year will be on November 29th the day after Thanksgiving for the 40th annual Turkey Derby at the famous Wall Stadium Speedway in Wall Township,New Jersey. During Austin's time off from racing he is also planning on doing a CrossFit competition on October 26th benefiting Cystic Fibrosis.
