“Just unbelievable, All the people that got me
here, the owners and the competitors. The guys that race weekly
that make you good enough to win a race like this...I don't even
know what to think. “I know I'm going to get drunk as hell
tonight.” Fred Rahmer winning his first Williams Grove
National Open Saturday.
“My whole career, I have never been able to
win this race,” Rahmer said. “I said if I was able to win it, I
would be like Lynn Paxton... “I'm going to take until Wednesday,
talk to my wife and everyone involved. Maybe I will get Stevie
Smith to finish the season.” Fred Rahmer
“Congratulations to Fred. This is an awesome
win for him and his team, and I couldn't be happier for him. “He
does lot of things people don't know about, and I have a lot of
respect for him. He is a great human being, and congratulations
to him and his team.” 2nd place Daryn Pittman
“You don't know how happy I am for him to win
this race. This is one of the few races that he's never won and
with his retirement, the fans normally booing him cheering, it's
a neat deal. I'm very happy for him.” 3rd Place Lance Dewease
