Tuesday
night July 1st saw Austin Langenstein and the Cray MotorSports team
pick up an incredible win with a last lap pass in front of a nearly sold
out crowd of around 10,000 fans. Austin would
start in the 3rd spot and quickly move up and take the lead on lap 2 of
the 25 lap main event. Austin would pace the field until half way when
the #12 car would take the lead. Austin would ride in 2nd battling for
the lead and there would be a late yellow flag setting up for a green
white checkered. Austin would restart in 3rd after choosing the bottom
for the restart. Austin would move into 2nd and on the last lap in turns
1 & 2 get under the 12 car to take the lead, the two would race
side by side down the back stretch into the final turn, the 12 car would
try to wreck Austin for the win but Austin would save it and come off
turn 4 sideways to the checkered flag picking up the huge victory! It is
Austin's 1st win of the 2014 jack in the Box Summer Shootout series @
Charlotte Motor Speedway and 3rd victory in only 12 races so far on the
2014 season! In victory lane Austin said" Wow this is incredible. We
have been so fast all year and finally the
luck went our way, I have to thank everyone involved in this deal and
look at the crowd this is awesome! I also would like to dedicate this
victory to My Uncle Tom and Mr. Mike Turner who both passed away
recently."
