BIG DOUBLEHEADER WEEKEND OF RACING SET FOR SEPT. 12-13 TOPPED BY $25,000 TO WIN FREEDOM 76 CLASSIC
BECHTELSVILLE, PA September 6, 2014 . . . Rain brought an end to the NASCAR point battles at Grandview Speedway as the Saturday night tripleheader sponsored by Green Lane Wm Penn/Four Star Lettering was canceled and will not be rescheduled.
“With the lateness of the season and so many special events being planned for other area tracks we just cannot come up with a suitable date,” said track owner Bruce Rogers. “It is disappointing but we are now turning our attentions to our big Freedom 76 Classic scheduled for Saturday, September 13.”
With the final point race canceled because of wet weather Jeff Strunk will be declared the NASCAR Whelen All American Series 358 Modified champion for the 10th time while Randy Stoudt picks up the Late Model championship and Jared Umbenhauer earns the Sportsman title for the third year in a row. Unofficially Duane Howard has picked up the NASCAR Penna. State Championship.
The champions and other top award winners will be honored at the annual Grandview Speedway banquet set for November 15th. Ticket prices and additional information will be released shortly.

Adult admission is $35 while youngsters 6 through 12 pay $10. Kids under 6 are admitted free. Rain date is September 20.
New this year is a Friday night doubleheader of ARDC wingless midget racing along with ROC Sportsman stock cars. Those events will start at 7:30 p.m. with a $12 admission price for adults, $5 for youngsters 6 through 12 and under 6 being admitted for free.
