GRANDVIEW TIRE SITUATION SETTLED, FREE PRACTICE AND OPENING NIGHT SET


BECHTELSVILLE, PA March 6, 2015 . . . There seems to have been some confusion amongst racers planning to race at NASCAR sanctioned Grandview Speedway this season regarding the use of correct tires.
                Effective immediately racers will be permitted to use BGP stamped American Racer tires that they have on hand. Once their supply of BGP stamped tires is exhausted racers will be required to use only American Racer tires that carry the “GVIEW” stamp.
                Grandview management has told tire suppliers that effective immediately only “GVIEW” stamped American Racer tires should be sold to racers planning to use them in competition at Grandview.
                “We apologize for the confusion regarding the proper tire to be used at Grandview,” said Tina Rogers, speaking for the Rogers family, operators of Grandview Speedway. “We felt that we had handled the tire situation by allowing racers to use the BGP stamped tires throughout the 2014 season. Unfortunately, we found some of our racers still have some of the tires that were purchased late in the year. In fairness to them we will permit them to be used until their supply is exhausted. We encourage all racers when purchasing tires to purchase “GVIEW” stamped tires. ”
                The 2015 season, the 53rd consecutive season of stock car racing, gets the started on Saturday, March 28th at noon with the running of the annual free-to-the-public practice session. All types of racers are welcome to take part in the test and tune session which gives fans a chance to see what their favorite racer will be driving during the 2015 season.
                The very next day, Sunday, March 29th, the excitement of Enduro racing action will be seen starting at 1 p.m.
                Officially, the chase for the lucrative track and NASCAR point funds, will get the green on Saturday, April 4th at 7 p.m. when a tripleheader show will feature the NASCAR 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models and Sportsman stock cars. Gates open at 5 p.m. Adult admission for regular events will be $15 while youngsters 11 and under are admitted FREE. There is always free parking on the speedway grounds.
                Those planning to enter the pit area are reminded that a NASCAR license is required.
                Modified racers will be racing for, in addition to the lucrative prize money, added perks from T.P. Trailers and VP Racing Fuels. Late Models will race for the same perks along with additional perks from Bernheisel Race Chassis. Sportsman racers will also have perks provided by T.P. Trailers and VP Racing Fuels. In addition Modified and Sportsman racers are invited to sign up for the American Racer Cup which offers more than $150,000 in awards.
