It is with heavy hearts that we inform the racing community of the passing of Raymond "Jack" Follweiler (Kyle's Grandfather)as he passed away at Geisinger Medical Center on Saturday at the age of 78. Mr. Follweiler was enjoying himself while in attendance at Big Diamond where he was watching his grandson Kyle compete for the win (his first since 2009) and was stricken with a medical condition causing a lap 24 red flag period as he needed assistance and be transported. Kyle ultimately was victorious and his grandfather was aware that he had won as Kyle was joined by his family members and expressed concern and emotion during his victory lane interview. On behalf of the entire Follweiler Family, we would like to thank everyone that assisted in the efforts on the grandstand side last evening and we take comfort in knowing that 'Jack" was where he wanted to be on that particular evening rooting for his grandson and knowing that Kyle made it to victory lane.
