Bechtelsville, PA –
Saturday was a beautiful day for a Meet and Greet at one of G & H
Motorsports' new sponsors for 2015. Just Mom's Ice Cream and Grille
located in Honey Brook, PA hosted Dan Green and the NASCAR BRC Dirt Late
Model #46. The team always enjoys meeting new people and being able to
promote what we do and where we race. We were able to give away 2
tickets to Grandview Speedway to Steve Tury so he and a friend can enjoy
a night at the track to watch Dan race.
The racing part of the night didn't go as planned as Dan was only able to complete 1 green flag lap all night. He started 8th
in the second 8 lap heat and after taking the green Dan followed the
team cars of Joe “Geezer” Fanelli #22 and Dave Ogin #31. Dan went to the
outside to try to get by Fanelli in turn 3 then go low but Sean Merkel
#118 was there and they made contact and Dan spun across Merkel's front
end and hit the inside guard rail. As the damage was too much to
continue the Heat event, Dan pulled into the pits and was credited with
finishing 9th.

Bob Higginbotham, Jacky Higginbotham, Kati Horne and Brett Higginbotham
with help from Patrick O'Brian and Michael Wynne the Andrew Toothman –
AMZOIL Dealer #46 was repaired and ready for the feature.
The 25 Lap NASCAR BRC Late Model feature saw Dan start in the 18th
spot and took the green and when Dave Ogin #31 spun it in turn 1 it
caused cars to scramble and contact with Kory Fleming #704 to Dan's left
rear cut the tire. Dan rushed into the pits and the team was able to
replace the tire but just missed getting back on track before the green
flag came back out. With the 18th place finish, Dan lost valuable points and is now 5th in points.
Next
event for the G & H Motorsports team is Saturday August 15, 2015 at
Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville, PA as racing starts at 7:30 PM. On
Saturday August 22, 2015 Dan and the team will be at The Parkesburg
Point Youth Center for 1 PM to 3 PM, The Point is located at 700 Main
Street Parkesburg, PA 19365.
