6th In Points For Dan Green And The G & H Motorsports #46!

Bechtelsville, PA – Saturday started out with cleaning out the race shop to get ready to move the #46 NASCAR BRC Grandview Speedway Late Model from one shop to another. Doing a final check on the car and loading it in the trailer to head to the track was the next job for the team. A final stop at Just Mom's Ice Cream and Grille for their weekly dinner and the team made their way north to Bechtelsville, PA.

With no problems found in warm-ups Dan was ready to start 7th in the first 8 lap heat. As the event got the green flag Steve Gross #62 pushed up in turn 4 and #16 Cory Merkel and #4e Lou Egrie Jr dove to the inside to avoid Gross. As Gross corrected he came back down and clipped Egrie's right rear which sent him into a series of flips. Dan was able to drive through as was Kory Fleming #704 but Buddy Mertz #00 spun to avoid hitting the flipping #4e. Gross ended up in the infield as Egrie climbed out of his damaged car and was done for the night. The race went back green and went the 8 laps non-stop, Dan ran in the 5th spot but wasn't able to hold off Sean Merkel #118 at the checkered as Dan finished 6th.

The Auman Photography #46 was prepared by G & H Motorsports team members Scott Green, Cathy Green, Debbie Dutter, Bob Higginbotham, Jeff Green, Bill Chambers and Brett Higginbotham. Jim Alexander was in the pits at the team trailer supporting the other team members with his foot still in a cast.

The Marshall's Home Services 25 Lap BRC Late Model feature was lined up with Dan starting 7th. The green flag came out and Dan looked for a groove to run as he fell back a couple spots. The caution came out on lap 3 as Chuck Schutz #1 spun in turn 1. The restart was void and Schutz stopped in turn 4 as Gross and Kyle Merkel #0 came together in turn 2. The next restart was good as Dan went from 10th to 5th in 5 laps. On lap 15 Dan was closing in on 4th running Wayne Pfeil #72, he got good grip and dove to the low line a little too much and he hit one of the yuke tires that line the infield of the track. The tire damaged the front bumper and made it very difficult for Dan to keep the car straight. After completing one lap after hitting the tire, Dan spun the Little Anthony's Pizza and Grille #46 in turn 4. Dan pulled the car into the pits and finished 12th for the last feature for 2015 and 6th in the points.
