The Hot Rod Tracker Dan Green #46 Finishes Opening Night In 9th! (SDS Photo)

Coatesville, PA – April 2, 2016 – Grandview Speedway’s 54th season of racing was a chilly night and one that Dan Green and the G & H Motorsports team was waiting for all winter. Just getting back to the track is something the family based team gets excited about. After last weeks practice day at the track the team felt optimistic about the night.
Dan started 6th in the 1st 8 lap heat race of the season for the BRC Late Models, Sean Merkel #118 was the pole sitter and set sail when the green flag waved. Dan had a good battle with Bryan Sipe #33s and Ron Kline #3 for several laps with the #46 crossing under the flag stand in 4th.
The Hot Rod Tracker #46 started the 25 lap feature event in 7th and drove into 6th on lap 4. Lap 6 saw the caution come out for Shawn Horning #8M who spun in turn 1. After completing 1 lap the caution came back out but this time it was for Dan who spun in turn 1 after contact with another car. The restart saw Dan back in 12th as the race went green the rest of the way. Dan was able to race back into the top 10 as he finished 9th at the checkered.
The night wasn’t exactly how the team hoped but we did get a top ten against a great group of Late Model drivers, including 6 time champion, Chuck Schutz #1, Feature Winner Sean Merkel #118, Wayne Pfeil #72 and the Egrie’s, Lou Sr #x4 and Lou Jr #4e.
