Holiday Weekend Brings A Top 5 For Dan Green’s Little Anthony’s #46!

Coatesville, PA – July 2, 2016 – The G & H Motorsports #46 NASCAR BRC Grandview Speedway Late Model was on display at Little Anthony’s Pizza and Grille Saturday July 2^nd from 11 AM to 3 PM. The team had a great time meeting fans! Farmer’s Insurance The Book Agency was also hanging out with the team saving fans money on their insurance. At 3 PM the team loaded up and headed to the track for a three class racing program.

Heat Race

The first 8 Lap Heat is where Dan took the green flag from 3^rd place. 2^nd place starter Drew Wiesser #19 took the lead and pulled away as #81 Chris Wojner, Dan and Cory Merkel #16 fighting for second. Wojner held on to second as Dan took 3^rd for a lap then Chuck Schutz #1 was able to get by on the low side which opened up the door for Merkel and Wayne Pfiel #72 to get by as well. Dan settled into 6^th the rest of the way as he felt how the car reacted from the changes the team made for this week. Dan finished in the 6^th spot at the checkered.

Team goes to work

Jim Alexander, Scott Green, Cathy Green, Debbie Dutter, Jennifer O’Shea, Mike Wynne and Brett Higginbotham went to work and had the Scott Chevy #46 ready for the 25 lap Feature event.

Feature Event

Starting 5^th in the Feature, Dan took 4^th before turn 1. Lap 3 saw Dan go from 4^th to 2^nd behind Byron Sipe #33s, he stayed there for 2 laps until Bill Henning #80 got to the inside and took 2^nd. The next couple laps had Pfeil and Schutz get by to have Dan in 5^th spot. Dan stayed there until lap 12 when Henning dropped out with a left rear flat. As the race continued Devin Frye #62F worked his way toward the front after starting in the last spot to pass Dan with three laps left. Dan held on to drive under the checker in 5^th place, he is now 5^th in driver’s points, 119 out of first in a really competitive division.

Congratulations - Saturday Night Winners

Bernheisel Race Components Late Models went to Chuck Schutz #1 for his second win in a row and third of the year. T. P. Trailers Modified winner was Frank Cozze #4 for his second of the year. Paul Kline #1 was the Sportsman winner for second win in three weeks. A special congratulations go to the 8 kids who won bicycles from Sleepy Hollow Racing Team, Kory Fleming #704 Modified.

Shirts are $15, Hoodies are $25 and Hats are $10. Very reasonable for any race fan! If you are unable to make it to Grandview Speedway please email us and we will be able to send to you!

Next Event

The next event for the Hot Rod Tracking #46 will be Saturday July 9 at the Low Down and Dirty’s Meet and Greet at Grandview Speedway before the races start from 5 PM to 6 PM. We will have team merchandise available and as always lots of FREE items. The team will be giving away 4 RC cars, so get there early and make sure you sign up to win!

Dan will then race that night in the Firecracker 40 sponsored by Chapman Ford Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram of Horsham, PA. Adult admission is $25 while youngsters 6-11 are $5 and under 6 get in for free. The race is the biggest of the year for the BRC Late Models at Grandview Speedway with double points being awarded. Fireworks are also planned for the night, Grandview always puts on a great show!
