SECOND EVENT OF SEASON AWAITS FOR THE OUTLAW ENDURO SERIES…

Bechtelsville, PA – Mother Nature has not been kind to the Outlaw Enduro Series. Only one of the three previously scheduled events has been completed thus far in the 2017 racing season due to unsatisfactory weather conditions. Drivers, teams and fans are anxiously awaiting the next event, which is coming up on Sunday June 4th at Grandview Speedway. 

Plenty of racing will be held on that June 4 afternoon beginning at 1PM. The Big Car and Small Car classes are each competing in a pair of 60-lap races.  Other Enduro classes include: Junkyard Cars (50-laps) and a main event for the Ladies division. Adult general admission to the stands is just $10 with children under the age of 12 admitted free.

In the season opener, veteran endurance racer Phil Levering of Parkerford walked away with three total victories (2-small car/1-junkyard car). Travis Guyer of Ivyland and 305 Sprint-Car racer Jon Haegele of Hatboro won the twin Big Car Enduro races.

The popular Blast from the Past Vintage Stock Cars will share the card along with enduros. Weather has been somewhat more understanding to the vintage club as they held five events thus far. Ronnie Peck of Pottstown has simply dominated the Modified class as he captured four victories along the way. Ron Myers of Coatsville won the most previous event on May 20. The Vintage class has been wide open with competition this year as twenty different drivers have entered the first five races  Victories have gone to Dave Smith (2) and rookie Andy Cassel (3).

Gremlins Plague Dan Green’s VIP DJ Entertainment’s #46 Super Late Model!

Coatesville, PA – May 24, 2017 – Dan Green and the G & H Motorsports team traveled to Selinsgrove Speedway (PA) this past weekend for the Moon Shine Route 35 Super Late Model Series Race. The Heat race went well as Dan started 2^nd and ran well for the first half of the race but the car slowed down just a little and finished 5^th. After the heat race the team checked under the hood and determined that is was a blown head gasket and the best plan for the team was to start the feature in last and then pull off after completing a few laps. The first year starting any new venture is always challenging, having the Super motor is no different, the team is very positive that things will turn around and the finishes will be much better then what we are currently having. Bryan Bernheisel and the DMB Motorsports #119 won the feature event, congrats to Bryan and the team!

Team News!

The team has been busy with both the Super Chassis and motor. The Chassis was inspected by the good folks at Bernheisel Race Components (BRC) after the accident at Port Royal Speedway and it was decided that it will be replace with an all new 2017 Lazer X Chassis. BRC is preparing the Lazer and it will be debuted in mid to late June. We want to send a huge “Thank You” to Ed and Mike at Hot Rod Processing for assisting the team with the decision making on the new equipment. Without sponsors like them we would not be able to do what we love!

The super motor is being taken apart and sent to Craiger Racing Engines for repairs. It will be back and reinstalled in time for the first appearance of the #46 during the Appalachian Mountain Speedweeks race on June 1^st.

Congratulations to Our Friends!

This past weekend was a great one for Nathan Mohr in his 17m Sportsman and both Big Diamond and Grandview Speedways. After a serious flipping accident a couple weeks ago, the young driver in his 1^st full year racing, came back and won both heat races and after leading many laps in the feature finished 2^nd. Congrats Nate!

The Grandview modified #22 team with Joe “Geezer” Fanelli at the helm has been a huge help to the G & H team. This Saturday he qualified and then finished 20^th in the feature. Joe says he is learning his new modified and getting as much seat time as possible. Look for him to move up each week as they continue to qualify with the best in the very competitive division.

Grandview Speedway changed the Late Model division this week and no longer have heat races but switched to time trial qualification. There have been some good remarks from the drivers and you can look for the officials to tweek things over the next couple weeks. There are always things you don’t think about when making changes to a process. Congrats to Wayne Pfiel for his feature win in the Late Models.

Blast from the Past Vintage ran at both Big Diamond Friday and Grandview Saturday this week. Our family and team friends Todd Lapp and Ron Myers run them. Todd finished 2^nd Friday and 4^th Saturday while Ron finished 3^rd Friday and we congratulate him on winning the feature Saturday!!

Coatesville, PA – May 13, 2017 – The G & H Motorsports team changed motors and was just about ready to load the Super Late Model in the trailer when Georgetown Speedway canceled the racing program because of the rain. Potomac Speedway followed suit in canceling their program on Friday and Saturday’s Series Race at Winchester Speedway was also postponed. Rain moved out of the Central PA area and Port Royal Speedway was ready for action. The Tri-State Challenge Series races will be rescheduled and we will announce the dates as soon as we know them.

Race Night!

The Super motor in the Limited Chassis and a different set-up made for a very loose car. Dan started 2^nd in the Heat and after a few laps Dan knew the car wasn’t right and pulled off. Dan finished 7^th but with 26 cars in the pits all qualified for the feature event. Dan and the team with help from Jim and Brandon Bernheisel of BRC changed a few things around to make the car work better. Ready for the Feature Dan started 22^nd in the field but after 7 laps the fan belt came off causing the engine to overheat. Dan pulled off the track engulfed in a steam cloud but was able to avoid a major engine failure. Dan finished 24^th.

Next race is at Selinsgrove Speedway on Saturday May 20th. This is the 2^nd of 6 races between Selinsgrove and Port Royal Speedways for the Super Late Models in the Central PA area. ONCE AGAIN RAIN WASHES OUT SATURDAY NIGHT RACING ACTION AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY, TP TRAILERS AND TRUCK EQUIPMENT NIGHT SET FOR MAY 20, FANS AND RACERS ASKED TO WEAR YELLOW FOR JORDAN HENN AGAIN THIS WEEK

BECHTELSVILLE, PA May 13, 2017 . . . For the second Saturday in a row rain, a huge amount of rain, forced the cancellation of Saturday night NASCAR stock car racing action at Grandview Speedway.

                Barring the return of more rain a big four division show of auto racing, the TP Trailers and Truck Equipment sponsored night, is set for Saturday, May 20^th and will feature the excitement of NASCAR stock car racing including the TP Trailers 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models and Sportsman racers along with the Blast from the Past Vintage racers. Again featured will be some of the most popular dirt track racers in the area battling for valuable NASCAR and track points along with cash prize money.

                Fans and racers are being asked to again wear yellow as the support of Jordan Henn’s recovery from a race accident injury continues. The defending NASCAR Sportsman champion is hoping to be able to get back to racing for some late season action.

                In addition the WNPV-AM Radio sponsored Dover International Speedway NASCAR ticket giveaway is being rescheduled for the same night and will include tickets for the June2-4 NASCAR weekend at the popular Delaware racing facility.

                Adult admission is just $15 while youngsters 11 and under pay NOTHING. Free parking is available on the speedway grounds.

                The Saturday night Low Down and Dirty Meet & Greet is set for the main gate area at 5:30 p.m. and will feature Modified standout Kyle Borror, Sportsman racer Jack Butler and former Late Model champion Brian Shuey. Their race cars will also be on display. Actual racing starts at 7:30 p.m.

                Grandview Speedway continues to be one of the most successful NASCAR short track operations in the nation having been presenting stock car racing events under the Rogers family promotion for the past 55 years. The season at Grandview continues from late March to November. The one-third-mile, banked clay track is located on Passmore Road, just off Route 100, in Bechtelsville, PA, 10 miles north of Pottstown. A full line of concession and novelty items is offered. Fans are invited to the pit area after the racing events have been completed and racing equipment loaded into the trailers. Tri-State Challenge Up Next For Dan Green #46 Dirt Late Model!

Coatesville, PA – May 10, 2017 – April 29, 2017 had the G & H Motorsports Team travel to Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, PA. Dan Green drove the Scott Auto’s #46 into the feature by finishing 4^th in his heat race. On lap 10 another car made contact with Dan turning him into the infield wall. Dan was credited with a 22^nd place finish but the #46 LazerX Chassis had heavy damage to the front end. After getting the car home and inspecting it closer it was determined to strip the car and put the bigger motor into the Limited car.

Two weeks to get ready!

It was nice to have last week off from a race as the team could switch the motors and strip the Super car to get it ready to take to Bernheisel Race Components to get the chassis repaired. Special thanks go to Joe “Geezer” Fanelli and Al Yusko from the Grandview Speedway #22 T.P. Trailers NASCAR Modified team for spending a night helping to strip the car. We would also like to welcome Rich Yarnall to the G & H Motorsports team!
