Engine Woes Keep Dan Green Away From Selinsgrove Speedway For 3 Months!

Back to the track for the G & H Team

April 20, 2019, when Dan finished 11^th after pulling off with engine problems, was the last time the #46 Hot Rod Processing Super Late Model was on the track. August 3^rd the team returned to Selinsgrove Speedway for a shake down of the new motor. With a new motor and new setup Dan finished 4^th in his heat and 7^th in the 25 lap feature event. A very positive outing for the entire G & H Motorsports team. The driver and crew were pumped!

Selinsgrove Speedway (PA)

August 10, 2019 had the UNSLMS Showdown on Sand Hill at Selinsgrove Speedway with 33 Dirt Late Models signed in to race for the $3,000 to win 30 lap Feature. The field was broken up into 2 groups, Group “A” and “B”. Gavin, Dan’s oldest son drew pill number 8 putting Dan in Group “A”. The draw put Dan 5^th in Time Trials. Never a great time trialer, Dan ended up lining up 8^th in the 2^nd Heat. With the car having a setup that Dan really likes he was able to run fast laps and stay even with the top drivers in the northeast. Dan finished 4^th and qualified for the feature event!

Starting 14^th of 25 starters Dan drove a hard-fought race with a car the just wasn’t perfect but was much better than previous races. The 46 was as far back as 22^nd but finished in 17^th finishing all 30 laps! He ended up with body damage on both sides of the car, but some say racing is a contact sport. It was a great outing considering the best of the best in the Northeast region were on the track.

The team thanks Selinsgrove Speedway and the Ultimate North East Super Late Model Series for presenting a great show and we look forward to running with them again!

Richie Hitzler, piloting the Geezmo Racing #22 for Geezer Fanelli, won his 1^st Modified heat race this week at Grandview Speedway. This young man is someone to watch. Coming up from the Excel 600 series to the 358 Modifieds was a big step and has proven to be a rookie able to contend with the best on the hardest short track around! Congrats Richie and the whole #22 team!

Nathan Mohr is expected to be back on the track with a new engine next Sat at Grandview.
