SUSQUEHANNA 358 MODIFIED RACE TONITE!


Sunday night, June 14, a night of open wheel racing returns to SSP in a big way with the All Star 358 Summer Championship featuring the best 358 Sprint Car drivers from Williams Grove, Lincoln, Selinsgrove and Trailways Speedways on neutral ground for the only time in 2009. The 358 Small Block Modifieds will also make their return to SSP after many years away from the track. The Legends Cars will also be on the card as racing begins at 6:00 p.m.
The 20-lap 358 Sprint Car feature event will be pay $1,200 to the winner. The tire rule will be the same used at the regular 358 Sprint Car tracks – (All right rear tires used must be a HOOSIER National Sprint Spec tire, size 105/18-15. Any SC compound tire is permitted). All other rules of the Central PA 358 Sprint Cars will prevail for this event. Mufflers are not required for the 358 Sprint Cars. Raceievers will be mandatory. Lineups will be determined by a blind draw for the heat races with an inversion for the feature to be determined by a draw from the 1st heat race winner.
The 25-lap 358 Small Block Modified feature will pay $2,200 to the winner. The rules will follow the generally accepted 358 Small Block Modified rules throughout local tracks in Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey with the exception of 1) 2350 lb. min. weight with driver after the race; 2) max. 365 cubic inches; 3) racing gas or alcohol may be used; 4) open tire rule. Mufflers are not required for th 358 Small Block Modifieds, but Raceivers are highly recommended.

Grandstand ticket prices Sunday, June 14, will be Adults (ages 18-59) $15.00; Young Adults (ages 11-17) & Senior Adults (60 & Older) $13.00; Children (10 & under) are free. Pit pass prices on both days are $25.00 with a reduced price of $22.00 for all pit competitor license holders. The minimum age requirement to purchase a pit pass is 12 years of age with a copy of a birth certificate is required for all ages 12 to 17.
